    I have perhaps told you this before, however I absolutely love your boat. I am working on a washdown system exactly like yours( thank you for sharing the great innovative re-design). I am drawing a blank on hot to find the weight to attach to the strainer. I noticed yours is round and appears to fit perfectly. Could you advise me of the way you did that. I would certainly appreciate that very much.

    Thanks for the compliment on my boat! When I made the weight, I used the lid of a show polish can (I think) as a mold and just melted a bunch of old fishing sinkers in it to make a weight about 3/8" thick...Once cooled, I removed it, drilled a hole in the weight, filed the edges so they were not sharp, drilled a hole in the strainer bottom and attached it with a stainless screw. Hasn't come loose after many uses...Good luck...
